કોલમ્બિયાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિના ઉમેદવાર મિગુએલ ઉરીબને શનિવારે બોગોટાના ફોન્ટીબોન જિલ્લામાં એક અભિયાન કાર્યક્રમ દરમિયાન ગોળી વાગી હતી, એમ કોલમ્બિયાના રાષ્ટ્રીય પોલીસના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર.. પેરામેડિક્સએ જાણ કરી કે ઉરીબને ત્રણ વખત માથામાં બે વાર ગોળી વાગી હતી. આ હુમલો શહેરના ફોન્ટિબન પડોશના એક પાર્કમાં થયો હતો જ્યારે હુમલો કરનારાઓએ પાછળથી ગોળીબાર કર્યો હતો. સોશિયલ મીડિયા પર શેર કરેલી છબીઓએ માથામાંથી ઉરીબ ટર્બને રક્તસ્રાવ બતાવ્યો હતો કારણ કે બાયસ્ટેન્ડર્સ તેની મદદ માટે દોડી આવ્યા હતા. બોગોટાના મેયર કાર્લોસ ગલાને પુષ્ટિ આપી કે ઉરીબને ઇમરજન્સી મેડિકલ કેર મળી રહી છે અને કહ્યું કે ટ્રાન્સફરની જરૂર હોય તો શહેરનું આખું હોસ્પિટલ નેટવર્ક ચેતવણી પર હતું. બોગોટાના મેયર કાર્લોસ ગાલને કહ્યું કે એક શંકાસ્પદ શૂટર પકડવામાં આવ્યો છે. કોલમ્બિયાના પોલીસ વડા જનરલ કાર્લોસ ટ્રિઆનાએ પુષ્ટિ આપી હતી કે આ હુમલામાં સામેલ એક સગીરને ઘટના સ્થળે પકડવામાં આવ્યો હતો અને તેને પગની ઇજા માટે સારવાર આપવામાં આવી રહી છે. એક હથિયાર મળી આવ્યો હતો.
